Projects
Over the past 3 years, I have been involved with 16+ productions across 8 theatre companies, ranging from showcases to radio drama, 16-cast musicals to one-woman plays. This range has allowed me to affirm that I am most excited by the intimacy of straight plays that explore the nuances of people and our relationships with eachother. I am particularly interested in the innovative use of space, whether this be through set or venue choice, to enhance productions and to entertain.

The Durham Showcase 2021
Producer
The Durham Showcase is an annual showcase of 8 finalists from Durham University, who are auditioned via external professionals to form the troupe. In normal circumstances, the Showcase has two performances in Durham and in London (Tristan Bates Theatre). This year, I produced the first online Durham Showcase as a series of show reels, shared with professional agencies.
Frankenstein
Executive Producer
As the PR Officer for Castle Theatre Company, I lead the publicity campaign for the launch of the company's audio drama sector as a means of creating theatre during the pandemic. The script is a commission by Sophie Wright, and the audio runs alongside animations by an illustrating team lead by myself. The piece was shared by local broadcasters and publications outside of the Durham Student Theatre scene.
Dear Elizabeth
Director and Producer
I lead the production and direction of Dear Elizabeth from May 2020 to June 2021 through three cancellations due to the pandemic. The play is a series of letters between American poets Elizabeth Bishop and Robert Lowell, compiled and compressed by playwright Sarah Ruhl to bring their incredibly complex and beautiful relationship to the Assembly Rooms Theatre stage.
Mrs Dalloway
Producer
In March 2020 I produced Mrs Dalloway - an adaptation of Virginia Woolf's novella by fellow student, Imogen Usherwood - with Castle Theatre Company days before the first lockdown. I secured Durham Castle as a venue for the production, which sold out for both performances and received a 5* rating by Palatinate newspaper.
Sparks
Producer
Sparks by Simon Longman tracks the reunion of two sisters in the Midlands after 12 years apart, untangling their lives to reveal tales of grief, loss and loneliness. I was incredibly proud to produce our Durham run in November 2019, which sold out after excellent reviews, and had plans in place to go to Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2020 with the show.
Mojo
Co-Producer
I co-produced Jez Butterworth's play in June 2019, balancing this with my exams at university. Due to the closure of Durham's local theatre, we secured WiffWaff bars as our venue and transformed it into Ezra's Atlantic to create a truly immersive experience, which is certainly something I want to continue exploring as a producer.
Gutted
Co-Producer
This production of Gutted by Liz Richardson was part of the WASTA Showcase: a week long series of events to shed light on and create discussions around taboo topics all in aid and in collaboration with Guts UK charity. The show is a account of Liz's experiences with Ulcerative Colitis, incorporating multi-media to diversify the one-woman show.
Into the Woods
Assistant Producer
Sondheim's musical was my first time producing, throwing me into the deep end with a 19-person cast and 15-piece orchestra. We managed our budget by making many of the costumes ourselves and performed 4/5 shows in the Mark Hillery Arts Centre to sold-out audiences.
